Ground-breaking ceremony for Korea-Myanmar Friendship (Dala) Bridge Construction 2019-05-10

Implementing Construction Supervision service following the design

"We will do our best"

said Park, Mi Rye, CEO of SOOSUNG.

 

On 24th, the Ground breaking ceremony was held in Dala area,

just outskirt of Yangon, Myanmar said SOOSUNG on 26th.

The ceremony was held with key government figures,

including Aung San suu Kyu, Myanmar's national adviser.

 

South Korea's Kim, Hyun-chul, Presidential economic adviser cum chairman

of Presidential Committee on New Southern Policy, Lee, Sang-hwa, Ambassador

for Korean Embassy in Myanmar and staff from Ministry of Land,

Infrastructure and Transport of Korea attended.

 

This project is the first bridge construction project

in for Myanmar funded by Foreign Economic Cooperation Fund (EDCF)

of Korea EXIM Bank.

The total cost of project is 168 million US dollars

which to construct a total of 2.92km-long roads,

including cable-stayed bridges and approach bridges.

GS Engineeering & Construction is in charge of the construction.

 

SOOSUNG has formed a consortium and completed the design last year,

and will implement supervision service in future.

CEO Park, Mi Rye met with the minister of Construction of Myanmar

at the ceremony and promised to

do their best to achieve the successful completion of the bridge.
